Reading the Bible shows me the nature of God and His Character
The nature of God is revealed in the Bible. Prophecy in the Bible is part of God revealing Himself. In it God reveals His character and His work. In it we can recognize Him through His works in the past as well as His plans for the future.
Prayer Journal - Record your prayers
Prayer is communication with God. It is fellowship, relationship and intimacy with Him. Prayer is conversation, a dialogue (mutual). That also requires a lifestyle of silence.We must not underestimate the impact of our prayers. It is reported about Cornelius that he prayed to God without ceasing. We can find many indications of the prayer life of Jesus in the New Testament. Many times before or after important events He shut Himself away for prayer. For Him it was about silence and fellowship with His Father. Jesus is my role model, He is a man of prayer; I want to be that too! Jesus prayed usually by Himself or He asked His disciples for support thus for combined prayer! Paul also urges repeatedly to fight with Him in prayer corporately. Become a person of prayer. Pray without ceasing! 1 Thessalonians 5:17

About him
Bernd Weimer is 60 years old, has been married for 37 years and is father to three grown-up boys. His spiritual development was strongly influenced by a severe car accident in 2003.
My Bible
My Bible does not only contain God’s Word, it is the Word of God for me today. The Bible has godly authority. Jesus Himself asks, ‘Have you not read?’ and thereby emphasizes this godly authority. His Word has an impact on my life. The Bible is so important to me. I love my Bible – the Word of God – and never want to go without it.
My church:house church Marburg
I am leading the House Church Marburg in my home village Cyriaxweimar since 2006. Today I am working in a voluntary capacity in his hometown Marburg and focuses on working with the elderly. So far I could not return to my former occupation as an engineer. For one year I has been able to walk again with a few tools. I am still trusting in the complete soon manifestation of my healing.
The Idea
Reading the Entire Bible in one year
I want to have my thinking renewed according to Romans 12,2 by reading the Bible. Therefore it is essential to read my Bible every day and to reach my goal to read through the whole Bible once a year. Thus my yearly journal with the Lord comes about. At the end of the year I look at all my notes and draw conclusions out of what the Lord showed me. And I can see how and when the prayers I wrote down were answered.
Reading/studying the Bible Increases my Knowledge of God
Daily Bible reading is so important because it increases my knowledge of God.The nature of God is revealed in the Bible. Prophecy in the Bible is part of God revealing Himself. Meditating on the Bible because He is My Standard
I want to study and meditate the Bible so that it takes me apart and fills my spirit with its words. Studying the Bible on a daily basis means for me not only reading the specific chapters in order to gain Biblical knowledge. I want to allow the Word of God to transform me.
